1. Who We Are
MeetByEvent is a personal project by Luuk Hoekstra. Contact: our contact page.
2. Data We Collect
Visitors (RSVPs): Name (optional), email address, nationality (optional), party size, arrival time. This data is collected solely to confirm your RSVP and notify the venue.
Vendors: Business name, email address, and venue details. No payment information is collected.
3. How We Use Your Data
- Confirm and manage your RSVP
- Send transactional emails (RSVP confirmation, account setup)
- Show venue operators aggregated attendee statistics
We do not sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.
4. Data Sharing
Your RSVP information (name, nationality, party size, arrival time) is visible to the venue you RSVP'd to. Your email is not displayed to venue operators in the RSVP table. We use Clerk for authentication and Resend for email delivery — each with their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
RSVP data is retained for 90 days after an event ends. Vendor account data is retained for the duration of the subscription plus 1 year for legal/tax purposes.
6. Your Rights (GDPR)
Under GDPR, you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email our contact page. We will respond within 30 days.
7. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication and session management. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.
